It is understood officers who raided properties on Victory Road and Grosvenor Road found 400 cannabis plants after being tipped off by a member of the public.
Hai Vu, 50, and Nu Thanh, 53, both pleaded guilty to producing the class B drug when they appeared at Preston Crown Court via video link last week.
The men, of no fixed address, also both admitted to one charge each of abstracting electricity during the hearing.
Judge Michael Byrne warned the pair, who were assisted by a translator during the preliminary hearing, that “all options will be open to the court for sentencing”.
Speaking after the hearing, a police spokesman said: “The landlord of the property had cause to visit one of the addresses and he contacted police to raise concerns about the state of the house and what was going on there.
“There were two separate addresses and up to 200 plants were found in each.
“It is a significant find. The case has now been adjourned while we ascertain the yield and monetary value of the plants.
“We have sent samples off to scientists to work that out.”
And police stressed the case shows how seriously they are taking the problem of drugs in the resort.
The spokesman added: “Cannabis is still a serious drug and we will always crack down on people who caught growing it.”
The pair have been remanded in custody and are due to face sentencing on December 15.
There were no applications for bail.
The judge directed that pre-sentence reports be drawn up on both men before they return to court next month.
