A sophisticated cannabis farm was put out of business on Sunday night.
Officers from the Central neighbourhood police team executed a warrant on Balne Lane yesterday.
After going into the house they found a crop of 100 mature plants ready to be harvested and bagged up to be sold on the streets of Wakefield.
Police said the set up could have produced more than £100,000 of the Class B drug within a year.
PC Pickering said "This is one of the most advanced set ups that we have seen in a long time. A lot of people don't realise the potency of cannabis makes it a very harmful drug and that cannabis farms such as this are often run by organised criminal gangs."
