The job ad says: “Operation Viscount is Avon and Somerset Constabulary’s dedicated operation to tackle cannabis growing and stop more illegal drugs reaching the streets.
“We are looking for someone who could be requested to work at any time day or night, 365 days per year, to assist in locating and clearing cannabis growing sites.
“You will attend at the scenes of cannabis cultivation and as part of a two person team will clear the scene of all plants and growing equipment returning it all to police HQ where you will sort all the equipment into recycling skips.
“The role requires you to work in environments such as confined spaces in extreme heat, at height, around electrical risks and sometimes underground.
“Therefore, a good level of physical fitness is required including bending, lifting and stretching. The post holder must hold a full, current driving licence and will be required to drive force vehicles.”
