Canada Legalizes Cannabis

19 Oct 2018
So what does this great news exactly mean for Canada? Well as you may or may not already know as a nation they have had regulated legal medical access to the plant since 2001, the new law change that came into force on the 17th October 2018 now means Canada is only the second country in the world after Uruguay to legalize recreational use and possession of cannabis for all adults aged over 18 years of age, basically its use in public is allowed wherever tobacco smoking takes place but is treated the same as alcohol and other substances in regards to driving or working under the influence. Ian Power, from the town of St John's began queuing at 20:00 local time so he could "make history". Newfoundland is half an hour ahead of the next province to the west. "It's been my dream to be the first person to buy the first legal gram of cannabis in Canada, and here I finally am," he said. Politicians in countries like the UK may finally see sense, do something similar and end their war on cannabis too. WELL DONE CANADA!! *DGF X     [embed]https://youtu.be/T9N3kufjmic[/embed] (Youtube link from CBC News)
