Bob's zoon Julian Marley is freeing the herb: Lemme Go
Julian Marley heeft 40 jaar nadat Peter Tosh zijn Legelize It uitbracht nu een soortgelijk nummer uitgebracht. Hij noemt het Lemme Go, en net als de legendarische Peter Tosh roept ook Julian Marley de wereld op om cannabis te legaliseren. Het nummer komt uit terwijl de regering in Jamaica onlangs forse stappen heeft gezet. Op 6 februari werd het bezit van kleine hoeveelheden wiet legaal. En wat dacht je. Op 6 februari was Bob Marley, mocht hij nog in leven zijn geweest, 70 jaar geworden. Julian Marley: “It's been a long time since the Rastaman has been speaking about freeing up the herb, the benefits of the herb, and the goodness of the herb - from food to clothing, to medicinal purposes - so everything coming off that vibration of we feeling that the herb should be free.”
