A UK doctor has warned expectant mothers against the use of the drug due to the small amount of medical research that exists meaning there is next to no factual evidence that supports the following.
Sam Warnes who is due to give birth in Spring 2020 uses around £10 worth of cannabis per week which is sourced illegally off the street and claims smoking a little amount of this relieves the extreme nausea that she suffers from during her pregnancies.
She said "I was previously prescribed a medication called Domperidone by a local GP and that did relieve my morning sickness but would only do so for 20 minutes at a time."
In the past her severe symptoms had almost caused abortion but after using cannabis for a short time quickly disappeared all together.
"So some days are good and I don’t need any cannabis, Other days I am throwing my guts up and need a couple of puffs of a joint."
