Sir Patrick Stewart calls for medical cannabis to be legal for all in the UK
The star of screen and stage has recently admitted in the past to using cannabis as an effective treatment for his chronic arthritis, Patrick was prescribed the drug legally in California and he is now demanding the law to be relaxed in the UK so that millions of people on the National Health Service can also benefit from the plants medicinal properties too.
He said:
“I have pain in both my hands and thumb joints and have been prescribed various drugs, including a cream which didn’t do much. The moment I started using cannabis-based cream it worked and I could feel an immediate reduction in discomfort."
