Record weedbust in Spain (2700 kilo)

15 Jan 2019

A survey last year showed that Spain could earn an additional 3.3 billion euros in tax revenue by legalizing cannabis. And according to the University of Barcelona, who conducted that research, it was still a conservative estimation.

In other words, even more money would be possible. It is not yet that far and so in Spain the police continued to hunt for cannabis. Last Monday(14th) this even resulted in a record catch when no less than 2700 kilos of marihuana was discovered. According to the Guardia Civil, the total street value is 30 million euros. The police had been keeping an eye on the suspects since last year when 400 kilos of weed was discovered in pallets of vegetables and fruits that were on their way to the Netherlands.

Dutch politicians and Police

This megabust shows once again that the politicians and police in the Netherlands strongly exaggerate if they still claim that the Netherlands is the production country in Europe. After this weedbust.. i think it's obvious.
