Kirk Van Niekerk, 32, was caught by a colleague who smelled cannabis coming from his police patrol car early in the morning on November 19th 2014.
Mr Niekerk himself was not present at the but he has publicly critisised yorkshire police for using an events ticket company to sell sets for the high profile hearing.
Speaking out for the first time, Mr Van Niekerk said: "It's a joke. They are making all these cuts and they are hiring a company to supply tickets with my name on them.
