New therapeutic products for 2018 - Sweet Seeds creates its first pure CBD strain

For this season, all of our efforts, knowledge, passion and time were used to improve our products and lines and, finally, we are ‘taking the plunge’. For 2018, we present you as many as 11 new products, all certified by our ‘house seals’, which is to say a feminisation rate of 99.9% and a germination rate of above 95%. Our commitment towards our consumers is unchanged, firm and solid. In the past year, after various crosses made with plants rich in CBD and poor in THC, we offered the two first strains of our medical line, Sweet Nurse Auto CBD (SWS59) and S.A.D. Sweet Afghani Delicious CBD (SWS60). As you know, cannabidiol (CBD) is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid with multiple therapeutic applications and reduced side effects. CBD is used as an anxiolytic, antipsychotic, anti-inflammatory and analgesic treatment and is also suited to treat complex diseases such as refractory epilepsy. As a result, for our 2018 collection, following the launch of our medical line in 2017, we decided to go a step further and create a new, comprehensive CBD line with seven new strains.

The first CBD pure strain

Among these strains, we would like to call your attention to Sweet Pure CBD (SWS65), the first pure CBD cannabis plant by Sweet Seeds , with THC levels generally below 1% and very high CBD levels, i.e. in the range of 8 to 15%. This strain was expressly designed for medical cannabis users wishing to benefit from the therapeutic properties of CBD without being affected by the psychotropic effects of THC. This strain was created from two self-pollinated generations of a CBD-rich clone bred from ancestors of the Diesel family and with the typical structure of Indica-Sativa genetics, although it is a Sativa-dominant hybrid. In addition, it releases a sweet and fruity aroma, calling to mind typically citric, tangerine tones with slight notes of cypress.

CBD versions of our most famous strains

But that is not the end of the story! We also revised some of our most memorable and appreciated strains by converting them into “CBD rich” versions. This is particularly the case for Cream Caramel CBD (SWS67), with a mainly Indica structure, a big central bud, a strong stem and excellent, long and flexible secondary branches. Like the original version, it releases a sweet, caramel aroma. For 2018, we also offer the CBD version of one of our rapidly flowering and growing Green Poison CBD (SWS70), which inherited the rapid and explosive growing properties of our Green Poison (SWS14) original. As you may be aware, the aroma of this strain is delicious, intense and fruity. What is more, early this year we released the CBD rich version of one of our best and most aromatic strains, Ice Cool CBD (SWS69), a high-yielding, resinous plant that perfectly adapts to the requirements of indoor growing. As can easily be expected, this plant retains the exquisite, extremely strong and penetrating aroma and taste of the original strain, a real delight! Finally, we did not miss the opportunity to convert one of the classical strains of our seed bank into a CBD version, Black Jack CBD (SWS68), whose genetics is also highly performing in terms of rich yields, stout structure, and a sweet, incensed aroma.

New CBD strains

There is still more! We added two new strains to our medical line, i.e. the auto, mainly Indica Honey Peach Auto CBD (SWS64), with a peach aroma and a very rapid flowering period (it can be harvested at week eight after germination). The last strain in this group is Chem Beyond Diesel C.B.D. (SWS66), created by crossing the largely famous US Chem Dawg and a European plant of the Diesel family with a typically US intense aroma and rich notes. This strain produces so much resin as to be suited for extracts.
