Test your cannabis at Royal Queen Seeds and House of Smart!
From now on, everyone can have the THC and CBD content of their cannabis tested in the Royal Queen Seeds and House of Smart stores! Royal Queen Seeds thought the time was ripe for this extra service to be offered to its clientele and so decided, in association with the Israeli company GemmaCert, to place a testing machine in every RQS store in the Netherlands and Spain. The same service is also offered at the ‘House of Smart’ smart-shop chain in Eindhoven, Den Bosch and Rotterdam. This service allows customers, domestic growers and other users to have their samples tested in a few minutes for a small fee. Testing the THC content has always been difficult and expensive. Companies specialised in this test were not only very expensive, but also extremely slow. A waiting period of one week before receiving the result was normal, and samples became unusable and were never returned to their owners. In addition, only large growers could benefit for this service, while small growers or consumers were left out. With the new GemmaCert technology, testing the content of CBD and THC is now available to everyone!
How it works
The GemmaCert test machine works like an optical spectrometer. Each sample has a unique spectrum for THC and CBD levels. A dry cannabis sample of about 0.5 to 1 gram is placed into the machine. Internal optical readers scan this sample and send the light spectrum measurements to a cloud via Wi-Fi. Calculations are made in the cloud and results are finally sent to a GemmaCert app available in stores. Data can then be read on the screen of a mobile phone. Reading measurements is a child’s play! What is more, after the test you can still smoke your measured sample because THC and CBD levels will be unchanged. The sample will be in the same state it was in before the test, which only lasts 5 minutes.
