Football shirt sponsor denies cannabis link

Torquay United A new shirt sponsor has been announced for Torquay United. The company called the 420 Skatestore has caused a stir on social media with members of the public pointing out that 420 is a slang word for cannabis. The owner Mr Manley said -"420 is just a number. It's the number of a type of move in skateboarding. It's got multiple meanings. "Obviously I am aware that the number in America can be related to cannabis but our name is not named around cannabis. "We have had this kind of reaction a few times before. Sometimes it can work in our favour and other times not so much."
