Darwen Canna Camp
The two day camping event held on 23rd-24th june, marks the 1 year anniversary of our first event held on the solstice weekend. The sun was blazing and spirits were high, darwen saw hundreds of enthusiasts descended on the beautiful idyllic location of entwistle reservoir. The event was held in memory of one of our dearest members Heather Carey who we sadly lost a few months ago.
Over £170 was raised in memory of Heather and funds where donated to the Anthony seddon trust. As well as a Wide variety of public we also had multiple vendors in attendance with products ranging from live resin to t shirts. When asked about the day and how it went, Lewis from “blaze ‘n’ glaze”, a food vendor at darwen canna camp stated “ It has been a very busy week prepping but it has all been worth it.
There's cannabis smoke filling the air, the location is perfect, the weather is glorious and everyone has thoroughly enjoyed themselves. What more could you want?” Among the vendors attending and showing support was , The established and reputable 420 clothing brand has shown support to us since the beginning and for that we are truly grateful. Speaking on behalf of White Rhino, Cassano stated; “ Awesome day at darwen's annual summer solstice event yesterday thanks for having us guys great vibes & awesome people. The quality of cannabis products on the UK market is improving day by day, The kind of wares on sale last weekend would not be unseen in the likes of california's dispensaries. While walking around the event taking in the sights we found Dcc’s secretary Elvis liaising with campers. He said; “so far the event is a massive success. We currently have 27 tents pitched up and it's still early evening. The amount cannabis products available from various vendors is unbelievable, we cannot thank everyone enough for supporting the club and making the effort to share the solstice with us.
I really feel lucky to be part of this community". Speaking with a local resident known as "x" he told us that it was "A day to remember, the best cannabis event he had ever witnessed" and commented that "something special happened in darwen" Another attendee added “I wish to THANK YOU ALL how very Majik it was to spend time with so many amazing fairies and wizards, as an honorary member THIS IS MY FAVOURITE MEET IV BEEN my only complaint I DIDN'T STAY...Thank you again” It seems there really was a enchanted feel to the event.
