The CannaTrade is postponed - new date: May 28 - 30, 2021
Even if the ban on events, due to the Coronavirus, is only official until the end of April 2020 in Switzerland, we now decided to cancel the CannaTrade in May 2020 definitely. Otherwise it would be simply irresponsible towards our exhibitors and visitors. We checked the mentioned alternate dates (end of August, beginning of October) for advantages and drawbacks but decided with a heavy heart to cancel the CannaTrade 2020 and postpone it to next year, 28th to 30th of May 2021.
Why not postponing to autumn?
1. Already several hemp fairs take place traditionally in autumn. Besides, there are also other hemp fairs which were planned for springtime but postponed now due to the Corona crisis and this means the events calendar, especially for international operating companies, is very tight. Undisputed the CannaTrade is an important event, just now, regarding the current political development but we do not want to overdose our exhibitors on hemp fairs, particular the international companies. Another advantage is certainly that the new event date in May 2021 will be without any other competing events, like festivals or fairs. 2. About 40 % of our exhibitors are hemp producers and will be busy with the outdoor harvest from September until mid of October at least and we do not want to cause additional work by a trade show. Another 10% of out exhibitors sell seeds and cuttings – a fair in autumn would not be an ideal time for their business, they really need a fair in springtime. 3. Last but not least: Nobody knows what will happen until autumn relating the Corona Virus. According to projections various scenarios are conceivable and we simply want to avoid any extra charges caused by an official postponement.
The CannaTrade will continue to provide a boost to your business!
The postponement of an event like the CannaTrade is not easy to compensate. Therefore, the CannaTrade decided to use these involuntary «holidays» to realize finally the planned extreme extension of the B2B-area. As of end of April, each company can create its own web profile with company logo, photos and description under my CannaTrade. Furthermore, the CannaTrade grants access to the contact data of all its exhibitors, sub-exhibitors as well as Business Visitors via the b2b-area. Visit your (new) customers virtually for the time being. We will certainly not sit back and take things easy during the year. No way, we are already planning the following two events as an «Alternative» to the annual CannaTrade:
