There are many ways to enjoy cannabis. One market that is currently seeing a massive amount of innovation and expansion is the drinks industry. Brand giants from the soft drinks and alcohol sectors are investing heavily in the research and development of drink products. Making tea is an excellent way of experimenting with cannabis drinks with little expense and effort in the comfort of your own home.

Raw Jamaican style Cannabis herbal tea is an excellent drink that won't get you noticeably high. This tea is made from young cannabis plants that have not reached full maturity. It induces a mellow, relaxing, mild body high with a gentle cerebral effect, helping keep you focused and energised.

Cut and grind about half a gram of fresh young cannabis stems.
Spoon ground mixture into a metal tea ball and place in a mug
Heat water but do not allow to boil (too high a temperature will cause decarboxylation to occur)
Pour the warm/hot water into the mug and leave to brew
Add regular tea or sweeten to flavour.
You should not add milk and cream as THC binds to fat and makes the tea more psychoactive.

Indian "Bhang" tea is a potent psychoactive drink that has its origins in the Hindu religion, dating back to 1000 BC. Bhang is still used in religious festivals, meditation, and yoga to help achieve transcendental states. Bhang is used medicinally in North India to treat symptoms of physical and mental ailments.

Half a gram of cannabis buds is adequate to induce a long-lasting body buzz, similar to edibles, that kicks in about 45-90 minutes after drinking.

1. Grind up half a gram of fresh cannabis buds and leaves and add to a blender with 1/2 gram of butter, 250ml of whole milk and 1 tsp vanilla extract. Blend until thick and smooth. The milk, cream, and butter fats will bind with the cannabinoids and enhance any psychoactive effects.
2. Leave the mixture for at least 1 hour to infuse fully, allowing aromas and flavour to develop.
3. Heat 125ml of water in a pan to boil and then keep at a low simmer. Add mixture from blender. Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally and adding small amounts of water to prevent over thickening or burning.
4. Remove from heat and add a chai tea bag. Brew as desired for the strength of flavour.
5. Remove tea bag and strain mixture through a fine mesh sieve over a big mug.
6. add sweeteners, milk, cream, cinnamon and serve!

Cannabis tea offers you a great alternative to smoking and can help with many physical and mental conditions. It is worth trying out; it doesn't have to be for a specific medical reason. It could just be to add a little variety, expanding and enhancing how cannabis fits into your lifestyle.
