14 Aug 2025

Held in tandem with InterTabac and InterSupply, the Cannabis Business Expo and Conference (CB Expo) returns to Dortmund from 18 to 20 September. The trade fair is one of the leading events for the European cannabis industry and provides an important platform for all players – from cultivation to the end product. The program for the conference is now available online.

Dortmund, 14 August 2025 – Guests from the cannabis, tobacco, and vaping industry can expect a diverse and highly relevant conference programme. In particular, the recently announced intention of the German Federal Minister of Health to restrict remote prescriptions and online sales of medical cannabis is currently a hot topic of discussion – and will be at CB Expo. The CB Conference programme will be conducted primarily in English, with the
exception of events focusing on topics specific to Germany.

CanG and MedCanG – what's next for Germany?

The Cannabis Act (CanG), which has been in force since April 1, 2024, will be evaluated in fall as scheduled. Even before the official start of this process, the threat of restrictions on telemedicine and mail order is already causing considerable unrest. These developments will be the focus of the conference, with contributions from Dirk Heitepriem (President of the German Cannabis Industry Association, BvCW), Dr. Christiane Neubaur (President of the Association of Cannabis-Supplying Pharmacies, VCA), and Prof. Dr. Bernd Werse, Head of Addiction Research at the University of Frankfurt, among others.

Deep Dive Stage – Focus on cultivation and cultivation associations

The Deep Dive Stage is dedicated to the scientific examination of cannabis cultivation. Renowned researchers from Germany and abroad, led by Sonny Moerenhout (The Cultivators), will present current studies and findings on plant breeding. For cultivation associations, Marcus Geschwandtner (Grow Up! Consulting) and Dirk Rehan (Drehandel), the brains behind the Cannabis Kompetenztage (Cannabis Competence Days), will offer a comprehensive workshop covering practical topics such as building permits, financing, and advertising bans.

More than “just” cannabis

The CB Conference also offers visitors to InterTabac and InterSupply valuable insights – for example, on industry topics such as standards, human capital, and CBD. The CB Reception on Thursday evening from 19:00 hrs – the traditional dinner at the end of the first day of the trade fair and conference – offers an opportunity for personal exchange.

Exhibitor list filling up

The CB Expo exhibitor list is also filling up. Among the exhibitors who will be presenting in Hall 9 in Dortmund are the two Spanish companies Snorkel Spain (Royal Queen Seeds) and Anesia Seeds (Ruperts Farm), both of which specialize in seeds. Also participating are Emerald Green Technology from the USA (CBD products), ESA-Test GmbH from Eisenach, Folar Tech Limited (vaporizers, among other things) and Shenzhen Winstar Packaging Co. Ltd. (child-resistant packaging solutions) from China.

The complete program and all important information and updates about the CB Expo are available on the trade show's website, on Instagram and LinkedIn.
