The Arrival of HHC-P

HHC-P is a sister cannabinoid to THC-P, introduced to the market earlier this year. HHC-P stands short for hexahydrocannabiphorol and is deemed 33x more potent than regular Delta-9 THC. HHC-P is a stronger form of HHC, with HHC being the hydrogenated form of THC.

The use of HHC-P products is much like taking more powerful versions of standard Delta-9 THC. HHC-P is as strong as THC-P, the most potent cannabinoid extracted from hemp. THC-P occurs naturally in hemp; it exists in such small amounts that it was only discovered in 2020 thanks to cutting-edge spectrometry.

HHC-P on the other hand is made by enhancing the carbon side chain of HHC (hexahydrocannabinol), which also occurs naturally in hemp. The carbon structure is what enables the interaction of cannabinoids with CB1 receptors in the brain, the same receptors that moderate the feeling of getting high. The boost to the HHC carbon chain augments the cannabinoid's capability to bind with CB1, making it 30 times more reactive and being up to 10 times more potent than high from HHC.

HHC-P is undoubtedly a much stronger version than HHC. It's a more powerful buzz than standard THC as well, so it's not for those who are just getting accustomed to pot products. The effects would vary depending on the strain and product type.

Users report that HHC-P helps them through severe anxiety, pains, aches, and insomnia. With too high of a dose, the effects are felt for a prolonged period of time, which may comfort many users but not those who still prefer a more moderate experience.

Since hexahydrocannabiphorol is a very new addition to the market, Cannabis researchers haven't had time to figure out all its potential effects and adverse reactions.

As an isomer of THC, you can say that HHC-P mimics the effects of THC, and it appears to be stronger than regular THC. It is also assumed that HHC-P digests in a similar way as THC in the body, so its metabolites would likely trigger a positive drug result test

Is it legal? As a hemp derivative, HHC-P is technically legal under the 2018 Farm Bill that regulates legal hemp production. However, psychoactive cannabinoids continue to be banned in a number of states, and as such, HHC-P would not be permitted in all of the U.S.

HHC-P products are available as tinctures, disposables, and vape cartridges. If you are trying it, brace yourself for a euphoric beatific hazy couchlock ride.
