There is evidence supporting CBD as an anti-inflammatory for the skin and as a soothing agent for the scalp. However, when it comes to research focused on the beauty industry, there have been no significant studies to date. It is agreed that most CBD benefits come from ingestion rather than topical application. But that hasn't stopped cosmetic brands from using it in every product you can think of. How much is down to evidence, though? and how much is it down to CBD being a new "buzz" substance in health and wellness culture.

Here are some examples of the kind of cosmetic and beauty products that you can find CBD in.
