Growverse: The first game that isn't just a game

Roberto Romagnino, aka Dirty White, has been assiduously frequenting the world of cannabis for about twenty years. After studying everything he could, studying everything he found and putting into practice everything he read, starting from his own experience, he decided to offer everyone a new way to approach this wonderful universe of passionate people. Roberto firmly believes in empirical experience and from this certainty Growverse was born, a project in which cannabis and his love for it merge in the metaverse.

SSUK: Why combine the metaverse with the world of cannabis?

First of all, because I firmly believe that in the next ten years all activities will move to virtual reality. Then, although the global Cannabis community numbers hundreds of millions of people, we can easily notice the lack of real connection between all its souls. The possibilities for concrete comparison are relegated to certain occasions such as trade fairs or Cups. For this reason I decided to create a social network 4.0. The metaverse, in fact, allows us to create implementations that will solve everyday problems in real life.

SSUK: Who is this futuristic project aimed at?

Growverse is aimed at both the simple consumer and all the professionals in this industry. We are talking about the first metaverse on the globe monetized and customizable by the user via the web app, thanks to which people can express complete economic freedom. It is a world where you can attend lessons, conferences, events and concerts or where you can work as a translator or teacher. Everything is truly monetized.

SSUK: Can you give us a concrete example?

Each service in the Growverse will cost 1 leaf, the official coin that can be earned or bought in the game. If we think of an artist who will hold a concert, he will be paid 90% of the sum of the leaf (stable coins) collected from attendance. In practice, if 10,000 people pay 1 leaf he will earn 9,000 which will be immediately exchangeable into USDT.

Growverse: The first game that isn't just a game

SSUK: The various categories of Growverse are based on the seven tips of the cannabis leaf, can you give us more details?

Meanwhile, the entrance to the Growverse will be a geolocalized virtual grow shop where users will be able to buy existing products in the grow shops. In practice, two people from different countries who are discussing product X will be served by the grow shop closest to their home at the time of purchase.

The first tip of the virtual leaf is dedicated to the library with texts on the topic of cannabis that can be read from your sofa at home. The second will be the conference room where anyone can present a start-up or give a concert, with the possibility of showing their face and, thanks to motion capture, their lips or non-verbal expressions. The third point represents the great hall where you can follow lessons with real and well recognized professors. The central point will be a real fair /exhibition where you can create your own stand and sell your products. The fifth will be the grow room where you can virtually grow your own plant thanks to a realistic simulation. Inside the sixth there will be a market place for the sale of NFTs and an art gallery, where users can learn how to create an NFT and get to branding their own art. The last category leaf will be dedicated to job search and offers.

Growverse: The first game that isn't just a game

SSUK: How did you manage to make your vision become reality?

At first I imagined a simple app that could be useful in what I believed. Over time, then, the metaverse was born and I fell in love with it for its potential. At that moment I asked the people at Dotlabs for help. Being video game developers, they were perfect, an intense personal relationship was born and we will move forward working together, making continuous improvements, always in step with advancing technology.

SSUK: What role do NFTs have in your business model?

To finance the project on Opensea I have put 4200 NFTs up for sale (link on www.420white.com) and, through my US company, I will recognise 30% of the profits quarterly, via Smart Contract. At the moment there are still around 1000 NFTs left for sale. Buyers of the NFTs will gain VIP access, which will allow them to use all the services offered by the Growverse for free.

Growverse: The first game that isn't just a game

SSUK: How can you sign up on Growverse?

You must create your account at www.epicgames.com or use an existing account to be able to log in to the Growverse which is designed for ps4/ps5/xbox/android/apple/ios/pc/oculus. From the website www.420white.com you can download the leaf paper which explains in detail all the functions of the platform.

SSUK: When did you present the project?

We presented the project last April 20th. It was a presentation open only to the holders, the buyers of our NFT, designed by Zisto Creative Lab. The interlocutors were the managers at the head of the seven points: Giacomo Pintus and Silvia Papavero as regards the Art Gallery; Matilde Sortino for the conference and events room; Valentina Bifulco at the head of the Aula Magna and I who presented the potential of the Growverse. We are now in the pre-alpha phase which began in July and is accessible, exclusively, to holders. In January Growverse will officially open to the world with its graphics developed in Unreal Engine 5.2, the best existing graphics engine.
